Soames Hotel, Nanyuki

Soames Hotel sits on a forty-hectare estate seven kilometres outside Nanyuki, with views of Mount Kenya from the rooms and the restaurant. The twelve garden rooms are spread across six cottages, each with a private veranda facing the mountain. Rooms have double or twin beds with mosquito nets, en-suite bathrooms, and tea and coffee stations.

The restaurant serves locally sourced dishes on an outdoor terrace with panoramic views. The menu includes steaks and other dishes inspired by the region, with a selection of local and imported wines. The bar offers cocktails and sundowners on the terrace.

The hotel is two kilometres from Nanyuki Airstrip and close to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Solio Reserve. The original farmhouse from the 1920s still stands on the property, now part of the hotel grounds.
