Ngutuni Lodge, Voi Kenya

Ngutuni Lodge sits on the edge of Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s oldest and largest parks. The lodge’s forty-eight rooms are spread across four blocks, each facing a watering hole where animals come to drink. Families can choose from eight interconnecting rooms, while others feature a double bed and a single bed, accommodating up to three adults or two adults and a child. Each room has a private bathroom, a hairdryer, a furnished balcony, and views of the watering hole.

Meals are full-board, with three courses for lunch and four for dinner, made from locally sourced ingredients. The lodge also has a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a bar. Morning and evening game drives are included, taking you into Tsavo East or the surrounding sanctuary. Rangers guide the drives, sharing insights into the wildlife and landscapes.

The lodge is accessible by train via Voi station, a twenty-minute drive away. Trains run daily between Nairobi and Mombasa, making it a convenient stop for those traveling between the two cities. The lodge can arrange transfers from the station by prior request.

The Sagala Hills rise behind the lodge, framing the view from the pool and the rooms. The watering hole is the focal point, drawing animals through the day and evening — you might see elephants, zebras, or antelope from your balcony.
