Mauritius Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa

You stay in a private villa with its own heated pool at Maradiva, set on the west coast of Mauritius near Flic en Flac. The resort spreads across twenty-four acres with seven hundred and fifty meters of beachfront, where the villas open directly onto the sand. Each villa is built with natural materials — wood, stone, woven textiles — and designed for indoor-outdoor living, with terraces for meals by the pool.

The villas range from one to two bedrooms, some facing the gardens and others the ocean. The largest, the Presidential Beachfront Pool Villas, have three hundred and forty-five square meters of space with a fifty-six square meter pool, a home cinema, and butler service. Families can book interconnecting villas or two-bedroom options with separate spaces for children.

Dining includes Indian cuisine at Cilantro, Japanese at Haiku, and seafood at the Beach House Grill. The Lantana Bar looks west over the ocean for sunset drinks. The spa offers Ayurvedic treatments, yoga, and meditation, with an Ayurvedic doctor on site for consultations.

The resort is five minutes by car from Flic en Flac village, where the beach stretches for kilometers with coral reefs offshore for snorkeling. Local markets sell fruit, spices, and crafts in the village center.
