Etosha Safari Lodge, Gondwana Collection Namibia

You stay at Etosha Safari Lodge on a hill above mopane woodland, ten kilometres from the Anderson Gate entrance to Etosha National Park. The lodge has sixty-five chalets, each with a private veranda, air conditioning, and tea and coffee facilities. Twin and family rooms are available, all with en suite showers.

From the lodge you join guided game drives into Etosha National Park, either for half a day or a full day. The park’s waterholes draw elephant, lion, and other wildlife, which the guides know well. You can also walk the two to three and a half kilometres between the lodge and Etosha Safari Camp with a guide, learning to spot animal tracks and identify plants.

The lodge has three pools, a restaurant, and a bar. The deck looks west over the mopane woodland, where the sun sets behind the trees. At night the stars are clear above the dry air of the Kunene region.
