Tjing Tjing House is a Japanese-inspired restaurant spread across three floors on Longmarket Street in Cape Town. The building contains four distinct spaces, each with its own character: Torii for daytime dining, Lounge and Rooftop for evening drinks, and Momiji for Saturday omakase dinners. Walk-ins are welcome at Torii until 4pm; after that, it's first-come-first-served. The Rooftop and Lounge open at 4pm daily, while Momiji requires bookings for its set menu on Saturday evenings.

The kitchen serves an à la carte menu throughout the house, with Japanese street food influences. Private events can be accommodated in the Lounge (for up to twenty people) or on the Rooftop. The restaurant plays an eclectic mix of indie and electronic music that has become part of its identity over fifteen years of operation.

After fifteen years in business, Tjing Tjing House will close permanently on 18 April 2026. Until then, it continues to operate as usual from Tuesday to Saturday each week.
