Grill King is a Heidelberg grill house where everything is cooked over fire — wood-fired pizzas, charcoal-grilled steaks, and ribs smoked in-house. The kitchen runs a smoker for brisket and ribs, and a charcoal oven for seafood like prawns drenched in lemon butter. Portions are large, designed for sharing at communal tables in a space with stone fireplaces and a beer garden.

The signature challenge is the 1.4 kg Monster Berg Burger: four hundred grams of beef patties, three hundred grams of steak strips, three eggs, a king portion of chips, and chilli wings. Finish it in twenty-five minutes and the meal is free. The record stands at twelve minutes and twenty-three seconds, set in May 2021 and still unbeaten.

Menus include cowboy butter steaks, footlong burgers, and wood-oven pizzas from margherita to meat-loaded. Mains come with roasted vegetables, chips, or a traditional braaibroodjie. The place opened in 2017 and stays busy with live music nights and family tables.
