You come to Wonderland45 to fish. The camp has seven dams stocked with bass, catfish, carp, tilapia and trout, depending on the season. The water comes from the Boschkop River, which runs through the property from a fountain eight hundred metres east. The owner dug the dams himself when he retired, opening the camp in 2013.

Twenty-five grassed campsites are spread around the dams, each with a built braai, electricity, a light and a rubbish bin. The ablution block has flush toilets, hot showers and dishwashing facilities. You can hire a caravan or an army tent if you do not have your own; both come with a fridge, gas stove and mattresses, but you bring your own bedding and kitchen equipment.

Fishing rules vary by species. Carp, bass and catfish are catch and release only. Trout can be caught and bought in certain dams during the season, or released if caught with a fly rod. Tilapia can be caught and released in some dams. If a fish is injured or dies when caught, you take it to the fish station for cleaning at your own cost.

The camp is thirteen kilometres outside Pretoria East, on the Boschkop Road. The reception sells basic fishing gear, ice, drinks and snacks.
