Ngwenya Lodge

You stay at Ngwenya Lodge along the Crocodile River, ten kilometres from the Kruger National Park gate. The chalets face the river, ponds, or bushveld, with kitchens and braai areas. From the private patios or the three game-viewing hides along the water, you watch for elephant, hippo, and antelope coming to drink.

The lodge has six swimming pools, a mini-golf course, and tennis courts. The Riverside Terrace Restaurant looks out over the river, where herds move across the floodplain. The spa offers treatments with the same view.

Ngwenya Lodge has held RCI Gold Crown status for its accommodation and service. The chalets are built to face the river or the bush, with Harvey tile roofs replacing the original thatch. The Crocodile River draws the game and cools the air, and it is the reason the lodge is here at all.
