Canoes and stand-up paddleboards are available for exploring the river, which winds through mangroves where fish eagles call. A guided walk takes you into the surrounding indigenous forest.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe lodge runs on solar power and collects rainwater. It is three kilometers from the nearest village, with ten kilometers of beach along the coast. The main lodge has a DSTV connection; the cottages do not.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNqabara is three and a half hours by road from East London, or eight and a half from Durban.
