Loskopdam, A Forever Resort

You stay at Loskopdam, A Forever Resort on the banks of the Olifants River, forty-eight kilometers north of Middelburg. The resort faces Loskop Dam, with the Waterberg Mountains behind it and the Loskop Dam Nature Reserve nearby. The reserve holds antelope, leopard, crocodile and hippo; you can see some of them from a boat on the dam.

The resort offers conferencing and wedding facilities, and you can reach it by road from Middelburg or Johannesburg. The dam, the reason the resort is here, fills a bend in the Olifants River.
