Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery is a children's camp set on a 270-hectare game reserve in Dinokeng, 60km north of Pretoria. The reserve is home to eland, giraffe, zebra, and other wildlife, which you can see on game drives in open vehicles. The camp accommodates up to 1200 students in dormitories and chalets, with separate facilities for staff, including a private swimming pool.

The camp has extensive sports facilities: a 20-meter swimming pool, netball courts, and five hectares of fields for rugby, soccer, cricket, and hockey. There are also adventure courses for obstacle training, team-building activities, and archery. The property is fully fenced with 24-hour security, and access is by appointment only.

A large auditorium seats 2000 for events like conferences or weddings, and there are smaller lecture rooms and outdoor amphitheaters. The camp kitchen serves meals for large groups, with a tuckshop for snacks. Teachers and staff have their own dining area.

The camp is designed for school groups, sports clinics, and leadership programs, with a focus on outdoor activities and team-building. Game drives and cycling are part of the schedule, alongside sports coaching and matches.
