Rawdons Hotel & Brewery

Rawdons Hotel & Brewery sits in Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, a region of rolling hills and farmland. The hotel has rooms and cottages, some with views of the garden or pool. Dining options include the Boar’s Head Pub, which serves hearty meals daily, and the Tudor Rose Coffee Shop for light bites and coffee.

The brewery on-site produces ales and lagers, available at the pub and in the gift shop. The estate has walking trails and a grass tennis court, and the conference centre accommodates up to one hundred guests for events.

The hotel opened in 1956, built by the Rawdon brothers to serve parents visiting a nearby boarding school. The estate grounds were planted with trees and gardens before construction began. Today, the hotel remains a quiet retreat in the Midlands, with a focus on hospitality and the countryside.
