San Lameer Estate

San Lameer Estate is a coastal property in Southbroom with six hundred and sixteen privately owned villas set around an eighteen-hole golf course. The villas range from bachelor units to five-bedroom houses, many with views of the course or the Indian Ocean. You cook for yourself in the villas, which have covered terraces and built-in braai areas.

The golf course, designed by Peter Matkovich and Dale Hayes, runs through wetlands and forest with views of the ocean. The clubhouse has recently been renovated. There is also a nine-hole pitch and putt course for shorter games.

Two Blue Flag beaches are within walking distance of the estate. A lagoon spa on the property has eleven treatment rooms, a heated indoor pool, and a gym. Sgodini Tours operates a shuttle service for guests, with routes to the beaches and nearby restaurants.

The estate covers two hundred hectares of land designated as a nature conservancy. The villas are built with terracotta roofs and deep eaves to blend with the coastal environment.
