Rain Farm Game Lodge

Rain Farm Game Lodge sits just outside Durban, a quiet escape where wildlife roams freely. You stay in one of ten self-catering units or six tree-top tents, each set among the trees with views of the surrounding bushveld. The lodge began as a wildlife sanctuary, and giraffes, impalas, and wildebeest still move through the grounds.

Game drives take you out twice daily, mornings cool and afternoons golden, with rangers guiding you through the reserve. The lodge also offers spa treatments, including massages and hot stone therapies, in a setting surrounded by nature. Families can use the indoor and outdoor play areas, while adults relax by the pool or enjoy a picnic on the lawns.

The Acacia Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with ingredients sourced locally. You can also book private dining experiences by the pool or in the wine room. Fishing is available on the property’s dams, and the lodge hosts wine tastings featuring selections from the Western Cape.
