Arshad's Kitchen is a Pakistani takeout spot in Rylands where you order chicken tikka, seekh kebabs and mix grills cooked over charcoal. Chef Arshad Ali opened it in 2007, bringing dishes from the east to Cape Town. The kitchen is known for its chicken tikka and seekh kebabs, skewered and grilled over coals.

You choose from platters like the family pack with quarter chicken, kebabs, roti and salads, or single skewers with naan. The menu lists combinations of chicken tikka, seekh kebab, bihari kebab and chicken bhoti, served with roti or garlic naan. Sunday brings special breyani and akni dishes.

The takeout operates from a simple storefront on Ruth Road. There are no seats; you collect your order wrapped to go. The charcoal grill gives the meat its flavor, and the kitchen caters for functions if you order ahead.
