La Paris Estate

La Paris Estate is a working farm between Franschhoek and Paarl, eight kilometres from town. Ancient oaks shade the bistro deck and reception hall, with views to the Hou Moed mountains. The estate has a rose garden, poplar forest, and a private lake with an island, reached by a jetty.

The property hosts weddings and functions in converted farm buildings. The Lyceum, a former farm building, holds up to 450 guests with white marble floors and chandeliers. The winery serves as a smaller event space. Outdoor options include lawns above the manor house and a forested arbour leading to the lake.

Rooms vary from junior suites with king-size beds to two-bedroom suites with private gardens. Some have kitchenettes, walk-in showers, and free-standing baths. The bistro serves farm-to-table meals, with a deli and bakery offering bread and cakes daily.

The estate is on Wemmershoek Road, near the Franschhoek Motor Museum and Pearl Valley Golf Course.
