Opstal Estate sits in the Slanghoek Valley, surrounded by vineyards and the Slanghoek Mountains. You stay in self-catering cottages, each with a kitchen, wood-fired hot tub, and private deck overlooking the vines. The estate has a wine-tasting room where you can sample their wines.

The cottages are freestanding, with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. Families can book larger units with additional beds. Each kitchen has a gas hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster. Firewood is provided for the hot tubs and outdoor braai areas.

The estate is a working wine farm, and you can walk through the vineyards or take a tractor ride for a picnic in the orchard. The wine-tasting room is open for samples, and the farm grows Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Slanghoek Valley runs north-south, with the Slanghoek Mountains to the west and the Badsberg to the east. The cottages face the vineyards, and the hot tubs look out over the vines.
