Rondeberg Holiday Resort

You stay at Rondeberg Holiday Resort on the banks of Bulshoek Dam, twenty-two kilometres north of Clanwilliam along the N7 highway. The resort has lawned camping sites and self-catering chalets, some with private bathrooms and wood-fired hot tubs. The dam allows for water skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, and canoeing; kayaks are available to rent from reception.

General camping sites have access to shared ablution blocks with solar-heated water, while private camping sites include individual bathrooms and kitchen areas. The luxury private camping options add air-conditioned bedrooms. Chalets range from two to ten beds, with some wheelchair accessible and others featuring televisions and air fryers.

A three-hour hiking trail circles the koppie behind the resort, passing bushman paintings and a cave. The swimming pool overlooks the dam, and there is a children's play area with swings and a jungle gym. Birdwatchers can spot species from their chalet stoeps, and catch-and-release fishing is popular in the dam.

The resort is pet-friendly by prior arrangement, and some units have complimentary Wi-Fi. Reception can provide information on local flower safaris in spring when Namaqualand blooms.
