Veraclub Zanzibar Village

You stay at Veraclub Zanzibar Village on the beach at Kiwengwa, with the Indian Ocean at your doorstep. The resort operates on an all-inclusive basis, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main restaurant buffet. Once a week, the kitchen prepares a Zanzibari dinner, and you can book a lobster meal on the beach or at the La Rosa dei Venti restaurant. Drinks include local wine, beer, and soft options, served throughout the day at the bar.

The rooms have air conditioning, king-size beds, and private verandas. The beach is private, with loungers and umbrellas set back from the waterline. Activities run from water sports to children’s programs like cooking workshops and beach games. The resort can arrange excursions, though these carry an additional fee.

Kiwengwa sits on Zanzibar’s northeast coast, where the tide pulls out to expose sandbanks at low water. The resort faces this stretch, so you wake to the sound of waves and walk straight onto the sand. From October 2024, Zanzibar requires visitors to hold medical insurance from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, purchased online before arrival.
