Visitors must dress modestly: women cover their heads, wrists and ankles; men wear trousers and shirts with sleeves. Head coverings are available at reception if needed. You leave your shoes at the entrance before climbing to the upper floor where the prayer hall is.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe minaret is the reason to come. You climb it for the view — Kampala laid out below, with the other hills of the city visible in the distance. The mosque stands on one of Kampala's original seven hills, though today the city spreads across many more.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ground floor holds offices for the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council.
