Lion & Cheetah Park

Lion & Cheetah Park is a wildlife park in Somerby, Zimbabwe, where you walk through guided enclosure tours to see lions, tortoises, and other animals. The park’s most famous resident is Tommy, a 150-year-old Aldabra tortoise who enjoys lettuce and apples. Enclosures also house grey wolves, a dromedary camel, spotted hyenas, ostriches, crocodiles, bush pigs, and a side-striped jackal.

As you arrive, the park’s team guides you through the enclosures, introducing each animal and sharing details about their behaviour and habitat. Beyond the walking tours, you can explore the park on quad bikes or horseback, with options for beginners and experienced riders alike.

The park sits on rugged terrain, with wild baboons and vervet monkeys occasionally visible in the granite rocks or around the kiosk area. Visitors are reminded not to feed the wild animals.

The park’s focus is on education and conservation, offering a chance to see wildlife up close in a controlled environment. Activities like quad biking and horse riding provide a different perspective on the landscape.
