Chobe Marina Lodge

You stay at Chobe Marina Lodge on the banks of the Chobe River in Kasane, Botswana, with the water and its wildlife as the view from your room. The lodge is a ten-minute boat ride from Chobe National Park, where elephants and other animals roam. Game drives take you into the park in the morning and afternoon, and boat cruises let you see the river’s hippos and birds up close.

The lodge has a spa for massages and a pool for cooling off after a day outdoors. Meals are served in restaurants overlooking the river, with options from buffet to barbecue. The raft restaurant floats on the water, so you dine surrounded by the Chobe’s currents.

Kasane is where Botswana meets Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, making the lodge a base for exploring the region. Victoria Falls is a short drive away. The rooms are built with local materials, and the thatched roofs keep them cool. Warthogs sometimes graze on the lawn by the river.

The lodge was damaged by fire in late 2024 and is rebuilding, with plans to reopen fully.
