Camp Ndunda Falls, Kibugu Kenya

Camp Ndunda Falls sits in the Njukiri Forest in Embu, Kenya, on the edge of the Njukiri River. You stay in cabins, cultural huts, or teepees, all built with local materials and designed to blend into the forest. The cabins have wooden interiors, private balconies, and forest views. The cultural huts, Garu and Ngucu, are built in the style of traditional Embu dwellings, with thatched roofs and natural materials. The teepees offer a conical shape and traditional design, with comfortable bedding inside.

Activities include a two-hundred-and-fifty-meter zipline over the forest, archery, and guided walks along the river. There is also a wild swing suspended from a tree branch, where you can swing out over the river. The camp has a swimming pool, shaded by trees, and a restaurant that serves meals made with locally sourced ingredients.

The camp is set in the Njukiri Forest, which borders the Njukiri River. The river draws wildlife and cools the camp, and it is the reason the camp is here at all.
