Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Amboseli Sopa Lodge sits on two hundred acres of private land at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. The lodge is twenty minutes from Amboseli National Park, where wildlife roams freely and the Maasai people live and work.

Eighty-three rooms are built as individual huts, each with a veranda and en-suite bathroom. Some rooms interconnect, making them suitable for families, and two rooms are accessible for guests with physical disabilities. The honeymoon suite offers added privacy and a view of Kilimanjaro.

The lodge runs game drives into Amboseli National Park, where you can see elephants, lions, and over six hundred bird species. Back at the lodge, the restaurant serves meals with views of the mountain, and the outdoor dining terrace is a quiet spot to watch the sun set over the plains.

The lodge is four hours by road from Nairobi or a thirty-minute flight to Amboseli’s airstrip, followed by a one-hour transfer.
