Coastgate Hotel-Miritini

Coastgate Hotel sits on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, five kilometers from the SGR station. It is a non-alcoholic hotel with thirty-four rooms — single, double, and deluxe — each with an ensuite bathroom, mosquito nets, and a balcony. The rooms have fans, televisions, and wardrobes; some have air conditioning.

The hotel serves breakfast to all guests and offers a restaurant with African and Swahili dishes. Two conference halls host between twenty and eighty people, depending on seating. The halls have projectors and flipcharts available on request.

A standby generator and underground water tanks keep the hotel running during outages. The parking is secure, and the neighborhood is quiet. The hotel can arrange tours of Mombasa’s beaches and historical sites.

The building is behind the Vehicle Inspection Centre, a short drive from central Mombasa.
