Long Beach Mauritius
A beachfront resort on Belle Mare, with gardens, pools and coral reef
You stay at Long Beach on Belle Mare beach, overlooking a coral reef. The resort has two hundred and fifty-five rooms, each with an outdoor space facing gardens, pools, or the beach. The grounds are planted with tropical gardens, and the reef is a short swim from the shore.
Five restaurants serve meals from breakfast through dinner: Le Marché offers international dishes at live cooking stations; Tides serves Mauritian cuisine and fresh fish by the pool; Hasu focuses on Japanese grills and sushi; Sapori specializes in Italian dishes; Chopsticks blends Chinese, Thai, and Indian flavors. Two bars serve drinks, including Mauritian rum cocktails.
Activities include kayaking, snorkeling, windsurfing, and paddleboarding on the lagoon. The spa has nine treatment rooms and an outdoor pavilion set in the gardens. Golfers can play at nearby courses with complimentary green fees.
The beach is the reason the resort is here. It runs along the eastern coast of Mauritius, and the coral reef protects the lagoon from the open sea.
