Sionbergh is a camping and backpacker lodge near Heidelberg, with options for families and groups. You can pitch a tent or park a caravan on waterfront or standard sites, or stay in one of the en-suite rooms with queen beds. The backpacker dormitories have bunk beds and sleep up to 110 people in total, with shared bathrooms and a communal kitchen area.

The en-suite rooms have tea and coffee stations, small fridges, and hanging space for clothes. Meals cannot be prepared in the rooms, but the central kitchen is equipped for cooking. Smoking is prohibited indoors. Families can add bunk beds to some rooms, and pensioners get discounted rates mid-week.

The campsites are divided into waterfront and standard pitches, with space for up to six people per site. Day visitors can stop by to see campers for a small fee. Groups of ten or more caravans get discounted rates, and the lodge also hosts larger events like family reunions and team-building camps with catering options.

You’ll need to bring your own bedding for the backpacker rooms, and a breakage deposit is required for all accommodations. The lodge is set up for practical stays rather than luxury, with a focus on group and family travel.
