You stay at Stella Maris on the south coast of Durban, in the beachfront suburb of Amanzimtoti. The guest house sits directly on the beach, with a self-catering flat on the 16th floor. The flat has sea views and sleeps six: a queen bed in the main bedroom with an en-suite shower, and a second bedroom with a double bunk and single bed, plus a bathroom with a bath. The open-plan lounge, dining area, and kitchen face the sea.

The complex has a pool and braai area, and the beach is a short walk away. The building includes a laundromat, and bedding is cleaned weekly on request. Parking is available in a secure area. You bring your own towels.

The flat has selected DSTV channels, including movie and sport channels. Dolphins and whales can sometimes be seen from the flat during migration season.
