La Petite Colombe
La Petite Colombe is a fine dining restaurant at Leeu Estates in Franschhoek, the sister restaurant to the award-winning La Colombe in Constantia. You come here for multi-course menus that change with the season, with dishes like coal-roasted lamb with chakalaka, yellowfin tuna with salsa mojo, and guava with goat's cheese and ginger. The sweets trolley makes the rounds at the end.
The kitchen is led by head chef Peter Duncan, who emphasizes creativity, community, and respect for ingredients. The restaurant does not allow children under eight or bring-your-own wine. A deposit secures your reservation, refundable if you cancel at least forty-eight hours ahead.
Private dining is available for groups of ten to eighteen in partnership with the Everard Read Gallery on the estate, with a venue fee for exclusivity. The gallery can be explored privately as part of the experience.
The restaurant is open for lunch only during winter, with a set menu that includes sourdough with mushroom and miso, aubergine with salsa mojo, and Nicola potato with salsa verde.
