The Parks is a family-run pizzeria and farm in Benoni, where you eat wood-fired pizzas and handmade pasta made with vegetables grown on-site. The kitchen makes its own pasta, sauces, and biscotti, and the on-site distillery produces small-batch craft gins and beers. Kids play free on the nine-hole putt-putt course, jungle gyms, and arts and crafts zone while parents sit at tables under the trees.

The restaurant started in 2013 as an eighty-seater and now seats three hundred and fifty. The recipes come from the owner’s Italian mother-in-law, who trained the kitchen team. Families book the function rooms for birthdays and gatherings, and the mobile pizza unit can be hired for events.

Dogs on leashes are welcome, and they get a free doggocino. Pensioners receive a ten percent discount on Tuesdays to Thursdays. The playground was designed by one of the owners for her own children, with basketball courts and a make-your-own-pizza station.

The place works because it is a farm, a restaurant, and a playground all at once. You come for the food and stay for the afternoon.
