Hermanus Backpackers

Hermanus Backpackers is a hostel on Flower Street, a short walk from the town centre and the cliff paths where you can watch whales from shore. The hostel has a swimming pool, a fire pit for braais, and a shared kitchen. Rooms range from private doubles with en-suite bathrooms to shared dorms with communal bathrooms. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, USB charging points, and daily servicing.

The hostel arranges tours, including whale watching from boats or the cliffs, kayaking along the coastline, and visits to see the Marine Big Five in Gansbaai. You can also book wine tastings in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley or shark cage diving for a closer encounter with ocean wildlife.
