Botlierskop Village Lodge

You stay at Botlierskop Village Lodge on the northern edge of a private game reserve near Klein Brak River, with views of the Outeniqua Mountains. The lodge was built on the site of an old farm village called Kleinvlei, and some rooms have fireplaces and mountain views. Families can use the playground and join activities like the Junior Ranger Programme.

The Bellevue Restaurant serves meals with ingredients from the lodge's vegetable garden. Game drives go out to see animals like elephants, lions, and buffalo, though sightings are not guaranteed. The reserve also runs conservation projects, including work with cheetahs and black impala breeding.

The lodge has standard and family rooms, some with balconies. The original Bellevue School building now operates as the restaurant, where former pupils recall the area's strong athletic teams. Botlierskop gets its name from a distinctive hill that once served as a lookout point for ships.
