Red Sands Lodge sits 15km west of Kuruman on the edge of the Ghaap plateau, with camping sites and chalets under camel thorn trees. The camping area has electrified stands for tents and caravans. For those who prefer walls, there are thatched rondavels with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, or self-catering chalets with kitchenettes and braai areas.

The lodge has a pool at its center, with service available poolside. Kaufmann's Kitchen serves an à la carte menu on weekdays and buffet lunches on weekends, with a fully licensed bar. The restaurant draws both guests and locals.

Conference facilities range from a small poolside space to a main hall seating 250. WiFi covers public areas and most rooms, with login details from reception. The property is set back from the N14 road, with views toward the Kuruman hills.

Guests choose between camping, the open-plan rondavels within walking distance of the restaurant, or the more independent chalets with cooking facilities. All options share access to the pool and dining areas.
