Fern Hill Hotel

Fern Hill Hotel sits just off the N3 highway in Howick, with twenty-five rooms spread across gardens and rose beds. You stay in one of four room types: standard rooms with Californian oak furnishings, luxury rooms with four-poster beds and rain showers, family suites with two bedrooms, or larger suites with sitting areas. Each has air-conditioning, DSTV, and fiber internet.

The Snooty Fox restaurant serves à la carte dishes made from local ingredients, with a menu that changes to match what is in season. The kitchen makes everything from bread to ice cream on site. The restaurant is open daily from midday until late evening.

Outside, the hotel has thirty acres of gardens with an outdoor swimming pool. The grounds connect to Midmar Dam, five hundred meters away, where wedding parties often take photographs. Inside, the Fern Theatre can seat two hundred for conferences or events, with smaller rooms available for meetings.
