Leopard Rock Coffee Shop and Lookout Chalets

Leopard Rock Coffee Shop and Lookout Chalets sits on the rim of Oribi Gorge, overlooking the Umzimkulu River. The property has four chalets, each designed for two adults, with views of the gorge. You can eat on the deck of the coffee shop, which serves home-cooked meals prepared fresh daily.

The chalets are set on a rocky incline, with sweeping views of the gorge. Each chalet includes basic amenities and is serviced daily. The coffee shop began in 2002 after the owners cleared the overgrown property and rediscovered an overhanging rock that had been a photo spot in the 1940s.

The garden attracts local birdlife, and the overhanging rock remains a feature of the property. The chalets are secluded, offering privacy and quiet. The coffee shop serves breakfast and dinner, with optional meals delivered to your chalet.

The property is owner-run, with a focus on simple, homemade food and a relaxed atmosphere. The gorge views are the central feature, visible from both the chalets and the coffee shop deck.
