You eat at the Shelly Beach Ski Boat Club's restaurant, which has been serving seafood since 1974 with views of the working harbour. The kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and light meals from half past eight in the morning until eight at night, with the bar opening daily at ten. The club was formed by local ski-boaters who cleared rocks from the shoreline to create a safe launch channel — the restaurant followed to feed them.

The dining room looks out over the water where the boats still launch. The menu is seafood-led, drawing on the day's catch from the harbour below. The club remains active in angling competitions, with members fishing the waters off Shelly Beach that first drew boaters here in the 1970s.

The restaurant is open to visitors as well as members. You can watch the boats come and go while you eat, with the same view the early ski-boaters had when they cleared the channel by hand.
