You come to Snowflake Venue for markets and events in a repurposed flour mill, its industrial bones still visible under the steampunk styling. The building began as a steam-powered mill in 1921, tall for its time, and kept milling flour until the 1970s when operations moved to Klerksdorp. The Snowflake flour brand left its name on the roof, and the building kept it.

Today the space holds markets every two months, selling organic produce and handmade goods with live music. The high-ceilinged rooms take weddings, conferences, and art exhibitions, their original industrial fittings now part of the decor. The layout works for off-site meetings and workshops, with the mill's scale giving events room to spread out.

The venue has operated in this form since 1998, hosting the Aardklop National Arts Festival and building a reputation for cultural events. The market runs on the first Friday and Saturday of alternate months, drawing crowds to the old milling floors.
