Iron Steak and Bar by PAN Collection
Iron Steak and Bar is a steakhouse on Bree Street in Cape Town's city centre. The kitchen grills dry-aged beef on a Spanish Vulcano Grez oven, a method that seals in juices. Your meal begins with a complimentary serving of popcorn cooked in Wagyu beef drippings and ends with a token you exchange for sea-salted caramel ice cream rolled in Valrhona dark chocolate shavings.
The signature dish is the Flat Iron steak, cut from the chuck of grass-fed cattle. It arrives with a watercress salad. The bar serves classic cocktails with 1920s inspiration, and the Wagyu burger comes with two hundred-gram patties, truffle mayo, and beef-dripping fries.
The restaurant has outdoor seating and takes bookings for groups of eight or more with forty-eight hours' notice. The building stands at 114 Bree Street, where the kitchen stays open until half past ten at night.
