Pomodoro Restaurant
Pomodoro is an Italian trattoria that has served Wilderness village since 2005, with tables on a terrace overlooking the street activity. The menu covers pizzas, pastas, seafood and grills, using recipes the owner gathered while working on Mediterranean yachts and traveling through Italy. Dishes include gnocchi with gorgonzola, beef lasagna, and saltimbocca alla Romana with veal and parma ham.
The kitchen makes its own pasta and pizza dough daily. The terrace lets you watch village life while eating, with the dining room continuing the relaxed trattoria feel. Wines come from South African and Italian producers.
The building sits on George Road in the center of Wilderness, near the beach and other restaurants. It takes its name from the Italian word for tomato, a staple in many of its dishes.
