Sundoo Sea Point
Sundoo Sea Point is a South Indian restaurant on Regent Road, serving tapas-style dishes that draw from Kerala’s spice traditions. The menu includes biryanis and tandoori dishes, designed for sharing. The space seats forty, with booths lining the walls.
Chef Seelan Sundoo, from Kerala, runs the kitchen. The region’s spice trade history informs the dishes — cardamom, cloves, and chili feature heavily. Private cooking classes for groups of six to ten are available, teaching spice combinations and technique.
The restaurant is one of three Sundoo locations in Cape Town, alongside branches in Newlands and Woodstock. The Sea Point site sits on a main road, a short walk from the seafront.
