You come to The Coffee Roasting Company for coffee roasted on site at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West. The roastery works with over thirty single-origin coffees and ten blends, all Arabica beans roasted in small batches. The attached deli serves breakfast and lunch — eggs, omelettes, sandwiches and salads — with home-baked cakes and treats through the day.

The menu leans toward simple, well-made plates: full English breakfasts, three-egg omelettes, eggs Benedict on toasted muffins. Lunch brings chicken curry with jasmine rice, homemade pasta, and beef burgers made from scratch. The deli counter holds quiches, wraps and open sandwiches, with a selection of baked goods that changes through the day.

Coffee is the point. The counter serves espresso, cortado, flat white and the rest, with railway coffee — a latte with condensed milk — as a house specialty. Iced versions come in summer, and the tea list runs from rooibos cappuccinos to jasmine oolong. You can buy beans to take home, ground for your method or whole.

The space sits on Lourensford Wine Estate, with tables inside and out. Families fill the benches at midday; the function room takes evening parties and high teas by prior arrangement.
