You eat at ZanziBarista on the beach in Paje, where the tables face the ocean. The kitchen serves Mediterranean food with seafood and local ingredients — the catch comes from the water you see from your seat. The restaurant is built on an empty plot by the shore, designed to take in the view.

The place works as a stop for swimmers and walkers on the long beach, and as a destination for meals through the day. The sand is clean here, without offshore seaweed farms to wash up, and the water is clear over the coral barrier two kilometers out. At low tide the ocean recedes, leaving a flat lagoon that fills again when the water returns.

Paje is the center for water sports on this coast, so the restaurant gets divers and kitesurfers coming in from the sea. The kitchen serves lunch and dinner; the bar pours drinks to take to the beach. The building went up to serve the people who came to swim and walk here, and it still does.
