Sarova Shaba Game Lodge

Sarova Shaba Game Lodge stands on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Shaba National Reserve. The river draws wildlife to the water, and the lodge’s eighty-five rooms face either the river or the gardens watered by its streams. Each room has a private veranda where you can watch the river flow past.

The lodge runs game drives into the reserve, where you may see lions, elephants, and crocodiles. Back at the lodge, the pool offers fish foot therapy — small fish that clean your feet as you sit by the water. The restaurant serves meals with views of the river, and the bar is built among the trees with the sound of the stream nearby.

Shaba National Reserve is dry country, but the lodge is green with gardens fed by the river. The water keeps the air cool under the verandas, and at night the stars are clear over the reserve. The lodge has a spa for massages and a conference room for meetings, though most guests come for the river and the game drives.
