Café Anton serves cakes and coffee in the German style, a short walk from the beach in Swakopmund. It opened in 1966 as part of Hotel Schweizerhaus, a building that was originally a mess-house for the German Colonial Society. The café’s menu includes Black Forest cake, Florentiners, and Bee Sting, baked daily in the kitchen.

The café shares the building with the hotel, so guests can take their coffee on the balcony of their room or in the dining room overlooking the street. The hotel’s rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, telephones, and televisions; some have sea-facing balconies.

The café is a five-minute walk from the beach and the Swakopmund lighthouse. It has been serving cakes and coffee in the same building since 1966.
