A riverside lodge on the Kwando near Bwabwata National Park
You stay at Namushasha River Lodge along the Kwando River, twenty-four chalets set among trees near Bwabwata National Park. The lodge has a thatched dining room open to the river breeze, and a cold-water pool for cooling off between activities.
Boats take you on morning or afternoon cruises along the river channels, where you might see birds and wildlife. Game drives into Bwabwata National Park start with a boat ride to the park entrance, then switch to a vehicle for tracking elephant, buffalo, and predators. Fishing trips target catfish and tigerfish in the Kwando.
The lodge is twenty-four kilometres south of Kongola on the C49 road, a stop for travellers heading toward Victoria Falls. Between September and December, low water levels can limit boat access to the river channels. The lodge will close from mid-January to early April 2026 for renovations to the main areas.
