Kambro Accommodation and Farmstall Britstown

Kambro is a farmstay and farmstall on the N12, twenty-one kilometers north of Britstown in the Karoo. It serves as a halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town, with chalets for overnight stays and a farmstall selling local preserves like jams, chutneys, and dried fruits. The air-conditioned restaurant serves light meals, and guests can order meat and salads for braais.

There are several chalet options, from units sleeping two to larger chalets accommodating up to six. All come with kitchens, air conditioning, and braai facilities. Five kilometers away, Waterfall Camp offers two private caravan stands with thatched shade, solar power, and donkey geysers for hot water. A shared social area with a barbecue is available, and guests can walk to a seasonal waterfall or take a 4x4 trail on the farm.

The farmstall stocks homemade ginger beer, lemon syrup, rusks, and spices, along with books and gifts. Dinner at the restaurant can be booked in advance. The quiet and clear night skies of the Karoo make it a place to unwind, whether staying in a chalet or at the secluded Waterfall Camp.
