Gilroy's is a brewery and pub in Johannesburg where you drink handcrafted ales made on-site. The brewery produces four main beers: a Red Irish Ale, a Dark Rich Ale, a Pale Ale with fynbos honey, and a Premium Lager. Each is brewed with malted barley, local hops, and natural carbonation.

The pub serves these beers alongside pub food, with live music and quiz nights scheduled through the week. Tables sit under trees in the beer garden, where the brewery's relocation to Paulshof after 2008 allows space for both production and seating.

Steve Gilroy started home-brewing in 1970, founding the official brewery in 2000. After moving from Muldersdrift, the current location continues the tradition of brewing without preservatives, letting the beer mature naturally. The kitchen stays open through the afternoon and evening, with the bar pouring until late.
