Moon and Sixpence Wedding and Conference Venue and Hotel
Moon and Sixpence is a wedding and conference venue set in gardens near the Cradle of Humankind, a short drive from Johannesburg. The property has two wedding chapels — one Tuscan-inspired, the other country-style — and can host events for up to two hundred guests. Eighteen rooms are available for overnight stays, including family rooms with space for four and executive suites with private gardens.
The bistro serves Sunday lunches on the property, and the gardens are open for picnics. Beyers Naudé Drive runs past the gate, putting Lanseria International Airport eleven kilometres away and the Cradle of Humankind seven kilometres away. The venue is on what locals call the Wedding Mile, a stretch of road known for its concentration of wedding venues.
Rooms have air conditioning, minibars, and separate baths and showers. Some have fireplaces. The property has a restaurant, bar, and secure parking, and it runs on backup power during load shedding. You can book the venue for weddings, conferences, or private events.
