Tamboti Tented Camp

Tamboti Tented Camp is a satellite camp in Kruger Park, four kilometres from Orpen Gate. The camp offers safari-tented accommodation only, with no reception office on site. Facilities include two communal kitchens, two ablution blocks, a communal braai area, and a bird hide within the camp. There is no shop, restaurant, or ATM available.

The camp is surrounded by dry open plains characteristic of the bushveld, with tall acacias and marula trees shading the grounds. Small rock gardens overgrown with aloes and Barberton daisies separate the tents. The area offers excellent opportunities for game viewing, with zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, warthog, and elephant commonly seen on the drive from Orpen to Satara.

Travel from central Gauteng takes approximately four to five hours to Orpen Gate, with the camp a short ten-minute drive from there. The journey through the park allows for game viewing, so allowing extra time is recommended.

The camp provides a quiet base for exploring Kruger Park, with the simplicity of tented accommodation and communal facilities enhancing the bushveld experience.
