You eat at Chefs On Marine in Ramsgate Lifestyle Village, a multi-cuisine bistro that shares the space with a bakery. Later in the day, the menu shifts to salads, curries, lamb roasts and hake burgers.

The bakery supplies the bread for the bistro and sells to the village. The kitchen sources locally where possible, with a buyer handling procurement. The team includes a head chef with experience in Italy and France, and an owner who previously farmed goats and cattle.

The building dates to the 1930s, when it served as a holiday home and tea garden. Horses were stabled here for visitors. The current owners took over in 2015, adding the bistro and bakery to the village complex. Other tenants in the village include an interiors shop and a water store.

The bakery's morning bakes are the reason many guests arrive early. The scent of fresh bread carries through the village.
